Overview

ShiningAffix is useful set of tiny plugins (FileDrop, MixedNewLine) that simplifies work and allow some basic activities.

FileDrop

FileDrop plugin allows drag and drop file from Explorer to Eclipse and open it in standard Eclipse Editor. Simply use mouse to drag file and drop it on Eclipse main window title - the file opens with default editor. If file doesn't exist in the workspace yet, the link is created in special Links project.

This plugin extends default Eclipse functionality, by grouping 'dropped' resources in Links project.

Holding the Ctrl-key during file drop will cause to open the default text editor instead of default editor depending on the file type.

MixedNewLine

MixedNewLine plugin tracks mixed new line characters. Whenever the file is opened and it contains mixed new line characters (like CR and CR/LR in the same file) the popup warning window appears. Very useful when developing shell scripts, or other 'mixed new line' sensitive files.
